Which epilator is the best?

I am curious to know if anyone has tried the emjoi epilator. Does it work? Is it painful? Does the hair really grow back thinner? I am sick of shaving and an epilator sounds a little painful but i think that the benefits outweigh the pain. Is this true?

The emjoi is what my ex used and it did work. The hair was finer and it definitely lasted longer.
