Which cell phone to buy?

So…I have enough money to buy the iPhone 3g and switch over to at&t. my parents are on a family plan with at&t so it only makes sense.

I have the blackberry pearl with tmobile, and in order do switch I got to pay tmobile $200 for early cancellation. not to mention I would have to pay $110 to get a new bberry from them if I wanted to stay with them because the one I have now isnt working well. it turns off all the time and its not the battery.

should I pay more than half of what the cancellation fee to get a new bberry and stay with tmobile or should I pay the $200 and get the iphone for $300??

I would get the iPhone, all my friends have them they are amazing! But it kinda costs a lot for all the apps. you put on it
