Where and how can I get a girlfriend?

I am 22 years old and as of yet not had a girlfriend. My brother and his wife and some lads at work keep going on its about time you got a girlfriend. The problem is that I work in a factory full of men, and most people meet their partners at work. I’ve started going out with some lads from work (that are older than me) around town but there’s just nothing out there. I need some other options of places to go to meet girls, but also I have little experience with the opposite sex so if I did meet a girl that I liked I would have no idea what to say. Like I’ve just been to shop at ikea and there was this really cute blonde that served me but even if she was interested in me how would I get her number with people behind me in a que? Don’t get me wrong I’m not desperate but I’m sick of being the one to go on holidays and parties alone. Can anybody help?

well basically there is no reason why u cant get a gf , just be a bit more confindent around girls , it depends on what type of girl ur looking for as to were u will meet them , and were u meet the girl is where u start the converstaion, eg if u met a girl in the libary then start a convo about books!!! hope i have helped a little!!! X
