When should my dad change the timing belt? (Pacifica 2004)?

Hello, my dad is just wondering when he should change the timing belt. I’m guessing how many kilometers. It is a Pacifica 2004.

Thank you very much :D

I’m not sure you’re talking about your timing belt. A timing belt doesn’t NORMALLY go out on a car until its had hundreds of thousands of miles put on it and changing it typically requires removing a wheel, the entire side-panel of your vehicle and then part of the engine. I think you’re talking about your serpentine belt - which should be changed according to your owner’s manual. I tend to lean towards every six months.

If you look in the glove compartment, there should be several owners manuals. Twoards the back of one of these manuals, there should be charts of when to do scheduled maitenence. If its giving any problems now, it should be changed, otherwise you could just leave it alone til it breaks.
