This is not a safe form of contraception! There is always a very good chance that she can become pregnant. Rule # 1: ALWAYS worry about protection! Sperm can survive in a woman’s body up to 2 weeks just waiting for an egg to come along! You don’t even have to penetrate her to get her pregnant! If your semen gets on the opening of her vagina, they can still get in there! Look it up if you don’t believe me!

To know which days during her cycle to abstain from sex to prevent pregnancy she would have to be using a method called Fertility Awareness. She would need to check her cervical mucous and basal body temperature daily to tell when she is ovulating and chart that for a few months to know when she is most fertile and should abstain from sex.

You can find programs online that help with Fertility Awareness but avoid the ones that use a generic 28-day cycle as they are not accurate.
