When I leave, is it ok to give my boyfriend a letter?

Ok, I’m leaving for a week to go to Alaska to see one of my best friends. My boyfriend does not like the idea of me going, but has still been very good at being supportive of me going. I was just wondering if it was ok to write him a letter to give him the day that I leave. I plan on surprising him by showing up at his school that morning, but I want him to know that I am really going to miss him. I can’t really call him while I’m there either because of the time change. I just don’t know if a week is a long enough time to be away from each other to write him a letter. Please Help.

Definitely write him a letter. It doesn’t matter if you were just going to be gone for a day, he’ll really appreciate that you took the time to write it. And he’ll probably read it at least once a day if not more.
