Why did pontiac quit making the trans-am? And when did they quit making it?

1967-2002 Trans-Am dead Dec. 2009 Pontiac dead so don’t expect a come-back like the Camaro.

They stopped making the Trans-Am and Camaro (Both GM) the same year. SUV sales were picking up and the cost and profit of these vehicles was not worth it to GM. Mustang sales was also another factor and GM could not compete and decided to go a different route.

Just a guess;they probably couldn’t think of any new style or they wanted to make newer cars,not really sure.
