I am currently a junior in HS, but starting my sophomore year in college through dual enrollment in the fall. I am 16, but will be 17 in Oct, and as soon as I graduate next May, I want to head to Hawaii to continue my education, but my parents are saying I shouldn't go because I'll be too young, even though I'll turn 18 a month into the semester, thoughts?
Well, when you get accepted into college.
On the other hand, if you go to a local college, do yourself a favor and stay home for now. If you stay home you can save a lot of money and have less stress. Dorms cost money. It costs money to feed you while you stay there. Not to mention transportation etc.
On the other hand, if its freedom you're after and you can afford it. Do it.
Otherwise, stay home. College debt is too crazy in 2017.
