Whats selective breeding ?

I really dont understand what it is =s

Answer #1

Say you need a trait (like fast growing lean livestock). You only breed the animals that have that trait, and dont allow the slow growing fat animals to procreate

Answer #2

Selective breeding is easy to define, just look at dogs. They come in all shapes and sizes. Each breed is selectively bred to look a certain way and carry on the traits of their ancestors. Dogs are all the same species and can be interbred to create mutts but specific dog breeds are a perfect example of selective breeding.

Answer #3

ti’s the process of breeding organisms, could be anything, cows, mice or people., to get desired traits. If a male and a female both have one or more of the desired traits thay are forced to breed.
