Whats Going On With Me

For a couple months now I’ve been having abnormal discharges (Brown, Thick, Slimy, and No Odor) I’m on Depo-Provera, and I’ve been on it for about 9 months, so I dont get my periods. My mom said it could possibly be dried blood from my periods just working its way down, but I’ve douched to try to get rid of it, no luck. I have been sexually active (not lately) and I’m really scared I have a STD, I’ve also had painful bumps around my vagina I’ve had 3 within 6 months. Can anyone shed some light on what it could be?

Also I had my dad schedule me a gyno appointment a couple weeks from now, but I want some sorta clue before then. I’m 17 years old and I worry about this stuff easily. I’ve also researched genital herpes and the symptoms I’m having dont seem to match up with my symptoms, so I dont think its that.

Okay I had my appointment a few days ago and it was a yeast infection I have a dose of antibiotics and feeling much better :)

A gyno appointment is the way to go. Let the doc know all your symptoms. Possibly write out what you want to tell him / her, and also what you want to ask.

As I understand it, even though you are protected from pregnancy on Depo, you can continue to have periods for a while.
