Whats a good theme for poems?

Does anybody know a good theme for poems? I have to write a bunch of them and I was wonder for a good theme. Also, does anyone know a good or famous poem related to that theme? like an example

songs are also poems so try one or your fav. rap songs!

Your point of view on society. Raw emotion, and better if you can convey it through a poem powerfully Perhaps some with mythological or even religious reference As akikooka states, songs are also poems. With that said I’ll link you to the lyrics of my favorite band, they’re a good example. I’ll also link you to one of their songs on youtube.

remember songs are also poems, especially rap. try looking through your favorite songs and see what you come up with. love is a great theme. most songs by the beatles are great examples like “I want to hold your hand.” death is also a good theme. edgar allen poe is probably the greatest poet when it comes to death
