What's a "240" in relation to cars?
me and my friend are were talking about cars and he told i had a 240

Could refer to the specific make of the car, as majikthise said. Also could refer to the engine size (my car had a 350 in it - which would be a Chevy 350 V8)

There were several variations. I guess if yours has an engine capacity around 3 litre, (3000cc) it may have a 240 horsepower specification.
It could refer to a popular model Volvo (of Sweden) made. I drive a Volvo 240 and, despite its age, it still drives well with no major “issues”.
