What would be better for my acne? Proactive or my docter?

should I get somthing from my docter for my acne or get proactive? I really dont want to get proactive for like 50 $ and then have it not work. :\

Answer #1

proactiv is actually not always good for everyone, it can make it worse for some people. I use murad, its great…cheaper than proactiv but still more than things found at a drug store. if your doctor prescribes your retinol A it can also be terrible for some people, very drying, bad side effects for some too. I was prescribed it and it made things a lot worse so I suggest a good cleanser from a good brand that is gentle, there are also many good all natural cleansers too

Answer #2

honey no buts or wats its definetly your DOCTOR!!

because he/she knows sooo much more and whats the best ingredients for your skin and face then some already-made product:)

Answer #3

Your doctor, Proactiv is basically a treatment for mild acne that doesn’t work for everyone. Your doctor on the other hand can evaluate the type of acne you have and can give you medication specifically for the type of acne you have. Your doctor can also give you tips on how to reduce your acne without medication. I would go with your doctor. Proactiv seems rather expensive to me anyway.

Answer #4

proactiv..and its cheaper than a doctor…and it works

Answer #5

I agree with hysterical, your dermatologist should know what is the best for you.

Answer #6

I would deffinatly go to your doctor, proactive made my face swell and red for days, and it also did not work
