What were some really popular songs on the radio in the 1930s?

Ok so I have to do project in social and we have to write a radio brodcast as if we were in the 1930’s and because it’s due tomorrow I need to know what some of the songs yu could find on the radio at that time because my partener wont help me so im just gonna play a song and then give the info it ha too be at least 2-3 minutes long please help quick

It’s a shame you didn’t get started on your project earlier, you may have actually enjoyed learning about 1930’s radio. It was considered the ‘Golden Age of Radio’ as by the 1930’s radios were commonly found in a lot of homes and was the main way of keeping up with the local and national news and discovering and listening to popular music and entertainment. Radio shows were very popular in the 30’s as no one had tvs yet and the whole family would gather around the radio to catch the latest episode of The Lone Ranger or Sherlock Holmes or listen for their favorite advertisement jingle. Maybe try looking up a popular radio program or jingle to go with your song because they were a very important part of 1930’s radio.
