What to do at a model casting ?

Hi, so in three days im going to a my first model casting and basically I have absolutely no idea what it consists of and what I should wear. So I’ve got a few questions for people who can help me.

  1. What do you do at a model casting? What do they ask etc.
  2. What should I wear? What should I do with my hair?
  3. How long does it take?
  4. Should I bring anything? Any other tips from people with experience would be great. Thanks!

You should make sure of that with the agency before you go - otherwise it can be a scam - asking you to do porn or something.

  1. Didn’t they give you a guideline? OR did they want you to show up unprepared and look silly? I’m sure they’ll ask…standard interview questions.

  2. What to wear? Depends on what you’re trying out for, what kind of modeling it is.

  3. It takes as long as it does, should be over in less than 4 hours, otherwise, it’ll take up to 8, and if it goes over 2, they’ll usually have coffee, snacks or perhaps a tiny slice of cheese (as they won’t want you to spoil your figure, ya?)

  4. Bring…well, be prepared to close the deal, right?

I’m guessing you have headshots and a portfolio, of course…as you didn’t ask about those.
