What to do about my friend with these thoughts?

I have a really good friend and she told me in confidence that she has been having suicidal thoughts. She has been having a lot of pains in her back and the doctors are having a really hard time finding anything wrong with it. She also just got a concussion and all of this is putting her down. I told her she needed to talk to her parents and go talk to a doctor to maybe get put on anti-depressents. She swears she would never actually commit suicide, but I’m really scared and I dont know what to do.

ok im definitely not good at this. um I think you should definitely tell her to her doctor about her thoughts, deperssion is depression there’s no covering it up. having thoughts of suicide is not normal and you should tell her that before it gets worser for your friend. trust me it hurts like hell to loose a friend and to find out you could of helped but you didnt

Answer #2

ok jeez dont sound very good. um well. try to support her. hang out with her a bit more. try to keep her happy. dont bring her around anything that is sad or make her sad. or got someone dying in there. try to talk to her parent to good luck

Answer #3

Tell her parents, or her doctor, or a trusted teacher, or the school counsellor. This is a problem that needs adults involved.
