What should I do if my friend has an asthma attack?

My friend has asthma and she’s had a asthma attack recently, I’m going out with her this weekend just her and I, her mum wants me to know what to do if she has a asthma attack just in case it happens, my friend is going to tell me where she keeps her inhaler, but what else should I know because I don’t want her to have one then I have no clue what to do?

Answer #1

I was born with asthma.

She needs to be very wary of her body. 99% of all asthma attacks are foreshadowed. If you notice her coughing a lot, ask her if she’s okay. If she’s having trouble breathing, let her take her inhaler and rest a bit. She can take it every four hours when needed, and don’t worry about her not needing it THAT bad. Albuterol can’t do too much harm to a body without being overdosed, if you plan to powerwalk, run, or anything athletic, she could even take it beforehand as a precaution.

Answer #2

ok I got asthma

try not to run or power walk. you don;t want her to get out of air. if she start having one. please remain calm nothing more stressful on people who cant breath. then someone who freaking out. remain calm give her a few puff of her inhaler. let her sit for a few mins. maybe give her a swig of water. if that don’t work and it start getting out of control go get help -.-

Answer #3

Make sure she keeps her athsma pump in a safe place amd carry a bottle of water if she does have one - make sure she is in recovery position grab her athsma pump let her inhale it and make sure she drinks her water!
