What should I do for this story competition?

My local shop is doing a competition I got a sheet in the shop saying what you have to do,it said:

There is no better way to celebrate Irish community life than through the eyes of our young people.We want young people from all over Ireland to bring their community to life with a story.To get involved,all you have to do is write a short story (max 1,000 words) on the topic ‘’Community.The People,The Place,The Pride’’

Please Help me!!! I need ideas!!!

ooo you should look into the past stories of people in the neighbourhood and write a fiction about a good one. or you could make it personal. (about your average day and connections in the community) maybe you could make it controversial - what happens under the surface of a supposedly perfectly functioning society. a few ideas, I dont know if they are very good…im not a writer myself so… anyway. GOOD LUCK IN THE COMPETITION, I hope you do find a good idea =D
