What should I do about my mom and I?

Well when I was younger my mom and I never got along. She always drank and took pills and it made her mean. So she was never like a mom to me but she loved my brother. My brother always got her atention. And I really didn’t care. I was a daddy’s girl. But like a year ago I got really really sick and was in the hospital for a week and ever since I got sick my mom was like a really mom. For once I felt she loved me. She was nice to me we hung out. She was like my best friend. I love the feeling of having a mom. Who really loves you… But when she gets mad at me, or some times she takes are anger out by yelling at me. When she does that it kills . I feel like dying. I start to cry a lot. And I’m a strong person but when it comes to my mom I start to break down .

I think I’m afried that she wouldn’t love me any more or she’ll stop like being my mom and it kills me so much to say this but its true.

I get depressed easy if my mom stops talking to me. I don’t know what to do I feel she dosent care.

Like somtimes when she’d mad I’ll cry and walk passed her and she wont do or say anything.

I don’t no what to do. How can I stop crying over the fact I think my mom will go back to not being like a mom/friend figure. Any other advice would help Thankyou

I would tell her you really loved how things were between the two of you when you were in the hospital and you want to keep that same relationship with her all the time and sometimes you think it may fall apart. Just tell her how you feel. Good luck tho!

Alanon or alateen is a support group for friends and families of addicts/alcoholics. You could try to find a meeting in your area. The people who attend are very helpful in situations such as yours. You can also talk to your mom and let her know how much you appreciate her mommy qualities. Everyone likes being encouraged and complimented.
