What is this clothing called?

okay I am going to explain this as hard as I can. What is that clothing called where it is like a school girls top but it is cut in half. like it ends a little below your chest. Or a long sleeve plaid top but again it ends below the chest.

by any chance, is it a bolero? A vest may be? Or a midriff jacket? :s these are the only things I can think of. :s

no it is not a jacket, it is like a dress shirt but ends below the chest
