What is going to a boarding school in a different country like?

Ok so next year for my grade 10 I have been thinking over going to a boarding school in the united kingdom, I live in canada right now. I heard there is a lot of opportunities and that I would get a better education. I was wondering what it would be like having to share a room with other people, what am I supposed to bring with me, what happens if no one likes me or I get homesick, are people in the uk girly and posh?, how do I keep up really amazing grades? I’ll be 15 buy the time school will start for my grade 10. Any advice

hello,

2 cut a long story short… I was in bording school (wilsic hall, doncaster)

Wilsic hall is now a special needs shool but when I was there it was a place for boys that had been expelled from secondary school..

my mate who now lives in america with his missus and kid put their lil daughter into school.. at the time she was 8 or 9, I cant 100% remember now…

her education was so advanced they had to put her into a few grades up..

yes its true we have 1 of the best education systems in the world.

its like going on holiday… all youll need is clothes, toiletries and cash at bording school… we used to get pocket momey, yeah £1 was a lot back in the 80s lol

erm… poshness: ok every city and town has its own accent.

im from birmingham, west midlands so I have the brummie accent.

coventry, west midlands is the original english accent… they talk very much like cockneys (londoners) but there is a difference

this posness you talk about must be ‘elocution’ which the queen and her family speak

elocution is very expensive… a demo of a girl speaking elocution: listen to Judy

I cant even tell what UK city she was born and raised in ;)

sharing a room isnt bad… youll get on with your class m8s

youll pob find that you and them will be more intrested in knowing about your eact others countries.. sharing a room with other people is hard at first but gets easyer

dont worry about it :)
