What: I feel like playing something epic. But what?

I have been watching these really cool sprite animations lately and now they make me want to get back to gaming with sprites. I wanna take a break from the new 3D game graphics and get back to good old sprite games. But I have no idea which game to play. I want to play an epic sprite adventure game. Does anyone have any recommendations?

well its 3D but its a epic game. its called Shadow of the Colossus for the PS2. the story is your girlfriend is like dead and you come 2 the forbidden lands 2 fight the giant monsters 2 save her soul. very epic. or if you want something 2D, then try Super Ghouls ‘N Ghosts for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) its like the first resident evil. lol. your like a king or a knight and you gotta go through waves of demons and zombies trying 2 rescue the princess. or Yoshi’s Island for the SNES also. its got Mario as a baby and hes riding Yoshi and you gotta take baby Mario to like the other end of the island but don’t let the witches get him. lol. I like old games…

Emulators are great. I’d recommend that. I doubt it’s legal, but it’s free and great for killing time.

Commander Keen is a good one, for sure.

Why not download an NES emulator and pick up some of the old 8-bit ROMs like Mega Man or Zelda? I started playing the original Final Fantasy and Metroid a few weeks back on a ROM emulator and lost several days of my life.
