What gonna happen, my boyfriend just got diagnosed with mono?

Okay. My boyfriend just got diagnosed with mono and he says I gave it to him? We have been dating for 2 months the 21st. So does this mean I gave him mono? helppp!!!

it doesnt mean you gave it to him, no. He could have gotten it anywhere. Mono passes by salava.

Mono can be passed through the saliva by kissing and if and infected person coughs or sneezes. It can also be contracted by sharing cups and utensils, and even just through general contact such as handshaking.

The question is, has anyone else you’ve been in contact with contracted the virus? If you were a carrier, then at some point, you would have infected someone. If nobody around you has been infected other than him, then it’s unlikely you were the one to give it to him.
