What does this mean

I am my sisters keeper

Answer #1

I think the original term was “am I my brother’s keeper?”, and it’s from the bible.

Basically the term “keeper” in this sense is implying that you are responsible for said person (in your question - your sister).

Answer #2

It means that you are responsible for your sister’s welfare
