what does "suffix" mean not the grammer word?

I am filling out my application for the citizen ship.and it says name, last name, etc and then suffix…any clue??

Answer #1

id put that I was a ‘Lady’ haha

PHD, Lord, Lady etc etc

Dianna would put Princess, Lady etc etc

Charles would put Prince, Lord etc

Answer #2

That’s for people who have junior or senior in their name. As a woman, you don’t have to worry about that :)

Oh, and it can also denote a title you have, like some sort of degree you’ve earned. That just wouldn’t apply to your citizenship status.

Answer #3

That would be a title, clawjaw, not a suffix. Esq., yes. Lord/Lady, no. Unless he’s started calling himself ‘’Charles, Prince’’ lately, in which case I stand corrected.
