What does it take to be an actor or actress?

What does it really take to make it into acting because I know so many people who are motion picture on the silver screen worthy. How do they get there break out role?

an evolutionary loss to everything that is beautiful and true to the human condition. But is yet defined as a preliminary cost to overcomiing such obsticales as this fashionato and artificially insane that which hollywood has spawned a genuiend recluse of gnomes devoid of any humor arising in the public eye

Persistance, luck, confidence, the right contacts, and more persistance. :)

Also, I’m sure that acting well, being out going as well as nice, are all helpful.
