What do you do when your friend goes after the wrong type of guys?

my friend always goes for the rude untrustable guys. she is an idiot when it comes to them. and when I tell her she always finds out the hard way. she ends up gettin beat up on or hurt.

You cant do anything. It’s not a coincidence she’s going after the same type of guy. She’s picking them. Maybe she doesnt believe that she deserves a guy who treats her well. Maybe in her mind, if a guy treats her in certain ways it shows that he really cares about her (like if he’s willing to hit her that must mean his love for her is really strong or something like that), sometimes girls get confused about what love really is and what is really a sign of love. It’s why you have some girls who continuously end up in relationships with controlling abusive guys, because they think that’s a sign of true devotion. I dont know if you can do anything about it… Try to get her to talk to a counselor?

Let her learn from her own mistakes. If you’ve told her before about these guys then thats all you can really do. Trying to meddle with the guy she has feelings for will only make her feelings for him stronger. Just let her find out the hard way until she gets it, until then all you can do is be there to comfort her alright.
