What color is my black hair going to turn when its dyed brown?

without bleaching it, I want to know what colour my black faded hair is going to turn out afteri dye it brown.

It depends what dye you use, and if your hair is dyed black or naturally black. If it is dyed black then it will most likely do nothing- you need a color remover to remove the color before you dye it again. If it is naturally black, you may notice a slight color change, but more like a lighter black, not brown.

Do NOT, Leave the dye in for longer than the manufacturer’s instructions. The instructions are there for a reason, these are chemicals you are putting into your hair, and different chemicals react with different things at different times. I am in hairdressing training, and I’ve seen too many people disobey the instructions on colors/bleaches/products, only to wash out the solution and have the client’s hair literally fall out. I’ve seen people BALD because somebody decided they knew better than the instructions.

I strongly suggest you go to a salon and get it done professionally.

it’ll go brown, I have black hair and idd it brown, it turned brown. I just left the die in longer, so like if it says 20 mins, I did 30 mins, depends how much brown you want in it. it works thoo :)

it will stay black black is darker than brown and you cant dye hair a darker colour if its already the darkest colour it can be if you want it lighter youll need to bleach it first or get the colour stripped
