What can I feed a ferret?

Do not give them dog food!! It doesn’t have the same nutrients that they need. The best option is commercial ferret food which you can get at a pet store. If you really have to, cat food is okay, but as long as you give it kitten food because it’s higher in fats, which they need because they are so high-energy.

hi I have a ferret and it is best to give them ferret food. you can get it at any pet store including wal-mart. my ferret loves to eat cereal like cheerios and kix. he also likes to munch on little pieces of apples. but just b aware not to let your food unattended specially candy because I recently found a place where my ferret would hide all the candy and chocolate balls. and would much on them whenever I wasnt around. these are amazingly smart animals. so good luck!
