What Biology jobs are out there?

If I was getting a degree in biology, I think there are lots of areas I could work in - biotech, hi-tech, etc. Then there are generic kind of jobs that really anybody with a degree can get - management positions, etc. Really depends on what you want to do with your time after college, that I’d say you should study for - what type of work do you see yourself wanting to do, day in & day out?

Me, I love what I do for a living & it has nothing to do with my major. I only worked in a field related to my degree for about 3 months, before switching careers & haven’t looked back six years later.

Try chatting to alumni if you can also, they can be good contacts for landing jobs or internships while in school & can help give you a better feel for the type of work you’d be doing.

Some of the jobs that you can find if your having a Biology degree are Biological Scientist, Terrestrial Biologist, Clinical Research Associate, Medical / Clinical Laboratory Technologist, and or Medical or Research Assistant.
