What band is better: AC/DC or Van Halen?

I love both bands, but which one is REALLY better? AC/DC is that rough type of sound, and Van Halen is simply amazing. Tell me your opinions. Thanks!!

AC/DC by far is the better of the 2. they just rock hard and angus can put on a show (well he used to be able to) the energy level at an AC/DC concert is extraordinary. I remember it was someones lame idea to have white lion open up for AC/DC here in the twin cities- what a joke, white lion got driven off stage by the AC/DC chants of the crowd and the lead singer of white lion was trying to win over the crowd but ended up throwing down his microphone and storming off stage- what a great show. AC/DC ROCKS!!!

I was never much into the popish rock that van halen was producing, it seemed they were attempting to target middle school kids with their later music.

of the divided van halen groups I would have to say I preferred SAMMY over dave, in my opinion SAMMY brought a level of credibility with him when he entered the band- van halen got closer to being a more mainstream almost grown up band with sammy in the lead.

It also depends on what AC/DC you’re talking.

Bon Scott or Brian Johnson?

I’d still go with Van Halen, though.

Its just a matter of opinion. I enjoy the music of both bands.

My question is: David Lee Roth or Samy Hagar?

What do you think of AC/DC’s new album?

to chartreusechick: I like David Lee Roth a lot better. I think Van Halen’s earlier music is a lot better

AC/DC by far. I prefer Malcolm and Angus Young’s guitars and Bon Scott and Brian Johnson’s vocals.
