What are some makeup looks for a semi-formal?

Ok so I have a semi-formal dance that I’m going to next week and I was wondering what would be some good makeup looks. I have black hair, tan skin, really dark-almost black doe eyes .my dress is black by the way and I’m pairing it up with some purple pumps. I don’t know what to do for make-up because the colors always look really dark on me and it looks like I have a black eye or something.please help!!

if you are doing purple pumps then try purple eyeshadow… Maybelene (oh however you spell it) has great colors and they work really well. Sometimes they even have a guide on the back of them.

Try some pale pink eye shadow with a little sparkle put some grayish black eeye shadow on your corners for a smokey look. You don’t want too much because that will make your eyes look black. Oh, and some pink colored blush. Don’t wear foundation unless it’s long lasting or water resistant (estee lauder has some, it’s also a photogenic make up). before you put on any make up use a nice face lotion. Don’t wear a lot of eye liner just roll your mascara brush at the base of your eye lashes to make them look fuller. Also, put a light powder on after you finish all of your base make up so your skin doesn’t look sweaty or oily and it looks naturally beautiful.
