What are some ill-effect of internet on society?

It’s taken the place of ‘face to face’ conversations for many people. Some people might be more honest on the internet…but there’s just as many who totally recreate themselves in a virtual game like, yeat VERY REAL world…The 55 y/o real life mechanic who lives with his mom, becomes the 40 y/o multi-millionaire with a Lambrogini the second his fingers touch the keys. Ain’t good for him, and it’s not good for those who’s lives he touches.

Easy access to porno has probably taken some who might have gone thru life without any problems with addictions or acting out…to doing just that…having relationship problems or even landing in jail. The same with people who might have remained faithful in a marriage, have access to social sites of many varieties (Gay, S & M, Adult, hell for all I know beastiality), and those on line relationships leave little left emotionally for a real life wife or husband.

There are many virtues and plusses to the internet, but like all things…there’s always trade offs…
