What are some aspects of owning a chinchilla?

Hey My Hamster Is About To Die ): I’ve Cried And Cried And I Was Thinking I Want A Chinchilla! Can You Tell Me Everything About them are they boring like fish are or they like a ferret will they cuddle and stuff or are they just to watch. thanks ARE THEY GOOD WITH KIDS?

Chinchillas make great pets, it depends on what you would like to know about them. They can be cuddly, depending on how you raise it. If you do get one I recommend that you get a baby from a breeder, so that you can get it use to human contact. But if you get an adult from the petstore chances are you’ll have a bad, untamed, biting machine. I recommend you do some research before you adopt one, this is not an animal that can just sit in cages by itself with the no contact, I also recommend getting another chinchilla so your other one doesn’t get lonely. In the wild they traveled in packs of 2 to 3 maybe more.
