It all depends on the dress. It should be an appropriate length, have sleeves, and not show cleavage. Its middle school afterall - you need to be covered up and dressing appropriatly.

Answer #2

depends on where you live and what your classes are, you dont want to be wearing something that can get messed up if its nice, but if you feel good in it and your comfortable and someones talking about you, turn around and say “so’s your mother…” and keep walking :]

Answer #3

yes of course>> im thinking kind of sort of taylor swift looking sundresses.. then like wear a short sleeve cardigan on top ( for summer of course.. ) .. but I’m just sorta stuck with the whole DRESS thing in middle school.. i dont want to look like im all dressed up compared to everyone else

Answer #4

just own it :] haha

Answer #5

I wear dresses all the time and did at both sixth form college and uni (I had to wear uniform at school) and where I am from everyone else at college/ uni just wears jeans and sweatshirts.

If you like them then wear them and do not care what people think. If you feel confident and they make you happy then do not be scared to have your own style. Everyone like different things and clothes are a brilliant way of expressing yourself.

The only thing I will say though is make sure you wear shorts or leggings under a dress if you have immature boys at your school who might try and lift your skirt/ look up it when you go up stairs.

hahaha yeah so far my plan is just to get them over summer vaca<< so tht wont happen in school ( cuz my all my guy friends r pervs.. soo yaa haha ) I see them all the time when I go shopping in nantucket and boston in the summer<< so ill wait until then to buy them :)

Answer #7

Yeah sure, it would look nice. I don’t think there’s really a ‘yes and no’ with what you can and can’t wear to school (apart from appropriateness obviously) but fashion-wise, just wear what you want. And as you said, you don’t live in a very fashion influenced place, so you should go out there and rock it!

Answer #8

no, they r pretty

Answer #9

Its fine as long as it does not show too much, your not wearing it in a wrong weather, and that you wear it at the right time. Dresses can be for anathing, if that’s your fashion statement then let it be your statement, don’t be afraid of what people think as long as its good with you that’s fine.

Answer #10

I dont think its weird. Although I dont know whats normal to wear to school, both schools I went to had uniforms. But it doesnt sound weird, and if you like them, you should wear them.

Answer #11

you shouldn’t worry about what other people think :) just be youself and if they don’t like it than they’re just not your true friends :) I’m sure you look beautiful in your sun dresses though especially if your going for the Taylor Swift look, she has a style of her own that definatly is unique but amazingly awesome if that makes sense hahaha

Answer #12

I think if you like them and look good in them (and obviously you do)… go for it. You say there are no fashion trends in your area so here’s your chance to set the stage.

I have always worn what I love and look good in and tend to dress up a bit more than others, but as someone else said here…. I own it …so there it is. I don’t like to dress like everyone else. I prefer to wear what I think looks good, what is comfortable for me and preferably, something different than what everyone else is wearing.

Be confident and you’ll be fine. If you start a trend, you can always find something new to wear!
