Which website is more reliable: eBay or Amazon?

Amazon is more reliable. Amazon is safe and they are like a middle man. if you don’t get something you ordered, Amazon will give you your money back and charge the person you ordered something from. i used to sell books on Amazon it is very safe.

I prefer eBay. You can find great deals on eBay at very low cost. They sell many items and collectibles that Amazon might not offer. Also, sellers post actual images of the product your buying not just a stocked item. Both are really good though. Anazon has cheap shipping if your in America, but it can get expensive to ship to other countries. I find eBay has cheaper shipping to countries worldwide. It also has more items. My parents purchase many things from eBay and only a very rare few times, a packet was slightly damaged from shipping. We’ve never had an issue with the payments though.

Amazon. I just had some trouble on ebay with a woman claiming she didn’t receive an item, but she’s lying. Ugh, hate it.

Amazon. I’ll admit eBay has a lot more options and way more users, but I have never been screwed over by Amazon. I think more than anything though, it has to do with WHO you buy off rather than the site itself. =]

Amazon are more reliable, but not necessarily the cheapest option. If you order from eBay you can be taking a bit of a risk. To protect yourself make sure that you look at a seller’s rating and go for people who have a good track record from previous buyers. There will be good and bad people out there, but if you go for reputable people you should be ok. They are also ok for claiming money back from or sorting out issues you may have with sellers, the only trouble being that this can take quite a while at times so you may have to wait for a refund.

Amazon can potentially have the same issues, but in my experience I have never had a problem and if you order products stocked by Amazon themselves, opposed to sellers (this can be a cheaper option anyway at times, as postage added on from sellers can bump up the price to make it virtually the same as Amazon’s own) then you should get excellent service as I always have.
