It’s not the 5 years that’s a big deal, it’s just where a 14 yo and a 19 yo are in their lives are completely different.

age is a huge difference at a young age

when you are 20+ age matter less. because you grow more from 10-19 then you do from 21-40

I think he is a little bit too old yes. You are still in school and only a teenager. He is nearly an adult. A lot of people frown upon this sort of thing, mostly discusted at the guy for dating a young school girl. I don’t think it would be a big deal to date in my opinion as long as it doesn’t turn into a sexual relationship, since your still young it would make him a pedophile. If you think you both have the chance of having a long lasting relationship then you should do what you want to. Besides, when your his age he will be 24/25 and because you will both be adults your relationship would be perfectly okay to have :) This is just my personal opinion but you should really make the decision yourself.
