What was the point in dying it black if you want to go blonde? But anyways don’t do this yourself at home you need to get to a hairdresser and get this done properly, because doing it yourself will most likely end badly. It will take a while to go blonde, as you don’t want to damage your hair and you will have to gradually dye it lighter and lighter.

Hope this helps x

You are going to have to go to a professional and get the color stripped out of your hair before you can bleach it. There is no way to dye over black hair dye. It has to be chemically stripped out.

Answer #3

What mandyloo said. If you do it yourself your hair will probably end up orange or some sort of other interesting color and you’d have to go do it professionally in any case, or worse your hair could fall out if you don’t do it properly.

You do not have to see a professional. I did it myself a while back and for about 15 dollars. Use Kaleido Colors hair bleach at Sally’s Beauty Supply. It looks natural and beautiful.

Answer #5

Why did you dye it black if you want to be blonde?

If you attempt to do this yourself it will end badly. Its easy to go dark but to go lighter again is a long and painful process if you want it done right. It took me nearly a whole year to go from black hair to blonde as it did it very gradually as to not damage my hair. You need to see a hairdresser.
