Why have virtually all reading materials gotten smaller?

I’m talking about the print. Road atlas’s, phone books, instructions for things, food labels, warnings, disclaimers, even some books, ect. ect. ect.

Perhaps it has to do with the fact that we, as a society, have a much shorter attention span these days. On top of that, people don’t really read anymore.

Because of the internet, everything can be found on the internet now so printed writing is low in damand

Eye strain will lead to more medication in the future is what the med companys are prob hopeing with there small print lol = more $
