Used cars on craigslist.

Is it safe to buy used cars on craigslist? I heard one of my coworkers tell a story about getting burned by someone on the classified ad site here in the bay area. I want to buy a car, but I don’t want to get a lemon, get robbed, or anything bad.

Like any online or newspaper classified ad, it is buyer beware. You can find good deals, or you might get burned. No guarantees.

Check on Autotrader and see if the deal is too good to be true on Craigslist.

Usually people will embellish and try to convince you that you are getting some sort of incredible deal that usually will come with problems. They won’t tell you if you don’t ask (usually salvages and misrepresentation of condition or repairs done/needed).

im trying to sell a 1992 ford mustang if there is anyone out there that might be interested it is in almost perfect condition the only thing that is wrong with it is there is a little dent on the end of the door and I am over 6 FT. Tall and I would rather have a truck than a sports car im at least trying to get $600 for it if I can or anything close to that or if someone just wants to trade ill trade strait across
