How do you treat wind burn?

so i was outside all weekend in the cold wind and snow with cadets, and my face is 100% wind burnt and it really hurts and i look like a tomato! How can i make the pain go away?!

Answer #1

im not sure how. But I will say u cud call ur local pharmacist and they cud direct u in the right direction

Answer #2

I would use sunburn spray - wind burn is very simular to sun burn - so spray away - just be more careful with the wind - it dries the skin and makes the outer shell die also - just like the sun

I have this problem a couple weeks ago. I went and got Babyganics face and body lotion and vasaline overnight lip balm. After 2 days I was back to normal. I am still using the Babyganics lotion! It is great and natural!

When you think of who is at risk for getting windburn, you may think only the Eskimos and the people who live in the colder regions are at risk. While a combination of the wind and frigid cold temperatures can dry and redden your skin, windburn can even happen in windy, extremely hot temperatures. There are several products on the market you can use to relieve the pain and redness, but, try these homemade treatments for Windburn instead!

Any part of your skin, which, by the way, is the body’s largest organ, can become damaged from Windburn. Typically, though, it’s the face and hands that are most often affected. You can protect these areas of your body by covering them up or applying moisturizer before you go outside in extremely hot or cold, windy weather.
