Transferring photos from camera (SanDisk 32mb) to Computer

I have an old camera that I use to transfer photos from it to my computer. I have since been unable to do this as the connecting cable (camera to electric) and longer works. I was sent a disk “ArcSoftPhtoBaseDeluxe” which worked one time and now I no longer can retrieve my photos with this system. Staples wants me to buy a new camera (over $500) and tells me this will do the job? Al J.

if your camera had a software… you can reinstall it. and if the OS(windows, MAC, unix) can recognize your camera automatically, it means that the Disk you have(ArcSoftPhtoBaseDeluxe) might be crashed. or the camera it self. just try to replace the disk, make sure that the OS recognized the camera first, if not…it can be a hardware prob, wether the cable, camera cable interface… and keep on asking to different people thanks
