Too many Religions

Often when discussing religion, one hears the statement that none has the right to judge anyone else’s beliefs, or that religion is a person’s private matter and we can not say that it is wrong or right. Those who believe that the truth is relative and that all beliefs are correct deem that it is not possible to say that a person’s beliefs are wrong, because religion to them is a purely individual belief. The falsehood of this statement is quite apparent and we do not need to delve into great detail to prove it. If one religion believes that Jesus was a false prophet, another maintains he is God, and yet another that he was a human specially chosen to be a prophet, how can they all be true? Jesus, may God praise him, must inevitably be one of the three things mentioned above, and all three statements cannot be correct. Therefore, as only one of these statements can be correct, whichever is established as true determines that the others must then be considered as false.

you don’t know if it’s true, you just believe what you want to believe.

I guess the only way to really find out the answer, is to wait after death, to see what really happens to us in the afterlife. We don’t really know for sure, but we just gotta wait.

I’d say the only true religons are Islam and Christianity.

Maybe it one day will become mythology like the ancient egyption, greek and roman religions. If you take a look at some ancient myths and beliefs it’s quite clear that they did just make stuff up. and certainly all religions are just made-up.

true, true..I have become so jaded by the fundamentalist ‘cults’ that I forget there are enlightened religions out there.

An easy way to determine which religion is true…

1. discard the ones that tell everyone they are correct and everyone else is wrong

2. there… no religion remains…easy

You can’t… that would defeat the purpose… u___u

there is no proof that any of the thousands of religions are true all there is, is faith and since faith is not fact, it cant be proven as correct or/and true

Nobody knows their religion is true (although many will argue) - it’s a matter of faith and belief.

utopia, there are non-dogmatic religions. In my experience the only religions that claim to have a monopoly on truth are the fundamentalist ones.

You can’t know if your religion is true or not. Religion is based on faith and faith is not fact. You can only choose to believe or not to believe.

Religions is about faith, you can’t prove it right or wrong and any personal experiences does not constitute proof.

Actually, they all can’t be right, so I would rather believe that they’re all wrong.

there are many religions but only on true God. serving God isn’t a religion its about having someone on your side all the time who never leaves you or forsakes you. He’s always there when you need Him. I no that God is real beacuse I can feel His spirit when I go to church, even before I got saved. The only way to Heaven is asking Jesus in your life and fully surrendering your life over to Him. If you mess up His forgiveness is always there. there are signs in Revelation (the last book in the bible) describing what will go on in the last days. some of the signs have already come to pass. Jesus coming back soon. better get ready.

none is right, there is no god, the reason for a god is to make people feel happy inside, and thats it, when you die, you rot in the ground and thats that, just like when your in your dad, the seed he put in your mom, you dont know or realize or feel anything, thats my hypotenuse but your entitled to your own opinion

read it’s spiritual book or scriptures, and see if you beleive in it. if you have faith its real, maybe it is!
