How can a tiger, which is black and orange, manage to sneak up on pray, undetected and camouflaged, in a predominantly green and brown environment?

Answer #1

It doesnt sneak the whole way up to it’s prey. It sort of crouches down and gets close, when it sees that they see him he hauls ass towards them. They just cant run as fast as he can, I suppose.

Answer #2

they have to be camouflaged at some point in order to get close enough to pounce though

Answer #3

The tiger’s stripes mimic shadows, like in tall grass. Also, most animals are mostly color blind, so they don’t neccessarily see the orange on the tiger.

Answer #4

They just crounch down and sort of crawl over there.

Answer #5

now thats an answer i can understand. Thank you
