The Cussing has to STOP

It may take a while, but learn to step back when you’re angry so you can at least hear yourself say the words. I’d bet you have no control over what comes out in real-time at this point when you’re upset enough, and this is a nice skill to work on. Once you realize when you’re saying them, you can then perhaps get a half-second ahead of yourself and change what you were about to say.

If you hear that in your head when you’re thinking about something, stop and figure out a more appropriate word you should have used in your thoughts instead.

It depends on the personalities of the people you live with, but you might even consider trying to get everyone else to watch their language so it’s not all you fighting against what you hear all around you. If you tell them you want to start something because you’re afraid the habits you’ve picked up will get you into trouble, adults may even listen to you.

I love to cuss, why don’t you? Best way to avoid it I think would be to avoid everyone.

There are days where I would make a sailor blush, and I get on my own nerves, but another day is another chance to stop.
