Do they still teach sex ed and health in schools anymore?

They gave me the scoop on puberty in 5th grade( which I didint listen to cause I was laughing my head off the whole time) but no sex Ed yet and I’m in 9th

i go to a charter school and they teach health all through elementary school and in eighth grade. seventh graders have a sex ed unit in their science class, and eigth graders have a sex ed unit in health class.

Where I live, we learnt about condoms and periods in 7th grade, then drugs, alcohol and violence in 8th and sex and STDs in 9th.

Depends where you are I imagine. I had ed classes from about age six through to about 15. In primary school this was part of a special life education curriculim, and in secondary school this was in health, science, and religious education classes.

Well we had a sex ed day once in 7th grade. It was only one day and we went to different teachers and learned new things. At that age many of us were immature and couldn’t stop laughing at a naked body. But that was then. . In our high school we are required to take a semester of health class to graduate. We talked about eating habits, and stuff and we actually started talking about reproduction for a while, but I don’t really remember learning about contraceptives, infections, diseases, and such.

I had health/sex ed 7th - 9th grade. I think it depends where you live.
