Switching phone to a different company

I want to buy a phone from AT&T, and put it on a Cricket account.

How much will it cost? What is the process? Is it simple to do?

Oh damn I read it wrong. Anywho I dont think its possible because they dont use the same SIM cards.

To cancel it’ll probably be around 200$

no, it’s not possible because the sim’s cards arent the same size and wont fit in another companys phone

What type of phone you going to buy?Whether old model or new model or tablets?You can check details in AT&T site or ebay or amazon .You can get a AT&T network locked phone and unlock it to use with other network sim card.Cricket is not GSM.It is CDMA network.You can unlock and use with only GSM network like T-mobile or cingular.You can unlock the AT&T network locked phone using unlock code from the site http://www.unlock-zone.com/att-united-states/rs5wp16/ then use with any GSM network sim.
