Even if you haven’t had problems in the past, you could have a yeast infection without knowing it. Some women have light yeast infections that don’t cause too much pain or discomfort but do cause thickness in discharge and vaginal dryness. A gynecologist can confirm if you are suffering from a yeast infection but if you want to take matters into your own hands, you can buy various types of medication at the pharmacy that will kill the yeast infection. If it isn’t a yeast infection then it could also be an allergic reaction to soap, perfume or fabric. Try changing brands to softer, non chemical, non perfumed and biological products. Also always clean gently with water and avoid douches. You may also be suffering from lower estrogen levels though this is unlikely since it is mostly found in menopausal women. The best thing to do is see a gynecologist so they can help you fix your problem.
