How can I strengthen my back to be able to carry my breast weight more easily?

I didn’t know that my breasts didn’t lose weight easily until I experienced it. I was a 42F. I’m three sizes smaller and now am a 38G. Really, I’m starting to have mid and upper back problems. I literally weighed them and together they are 15 lbs just stuck there on the front of my body. I’m going to just keep losing weight and eventually some of that fat is gonna come off, right? I’m wondering if there are GENTLE exercises to strengthen the body to handle that kind of constant weight? I actually enjoy having naturally large breasts for the most part, but this is actually a bit painful.

The best would be to see a physiotherapist and get an exercise routine.

It’s quite possible you may need to go in for a breast reduction. It sounds like you’re one of the unfortunate women who has breasts that just don’t seem to stop growing.

ughhh….I know how you feel! I hate having big boobs, cos I get unwanted attention but most of all my back is hurtingggg!! :/

Yeah. Back pain = not fun. Thanks for being able to sympathize! What I figure is that there has to be a way to strengthen musculature to be able to handle it.

Exercise can decrease your breast weight as well as strengthen all of the mucles in your back and shoulders. Chest presses are a really good idea, as well as back extensions. Also, try yoga… it’s helped me.

Sorry, didn’t see the whole thing. You may need a breast reduction to prevent spinal or back problems. Especially if your breasts are the only part of your body that is large. I would recommend seeing your doctor to talk about your options.

Here’s what I got after doing some research and thinking:

I’m three sizes smaller, but I’ve still got a ways to go as far as losing unhealthy fat.

I don’t have any detectable hormonal imbalances, no lumps, am not on any medications or substances, and so far nothing else is wrong except for an increase in breast size.

However, I took heavy medication for years (for health reasons) and I think that as I’m losing weight some of what my body stored (toxins from the meds) are being released. It would stand to figure that toxicity will cause an inflammatory response.

It could be that my breasts are actually swollen for a bit due to the inflammatory response but will go back down within a few weeks, when most of those toxins have cleared.

Also, as I lose more and more fat, I’ll most likely lose at least SOME breast size. In the meantime, I am doing core exercises as well as ones that improve my upper and mid back strength. I do sock poi (which is amazing for this) and I also do yoga.

I know even when I get to optimum health, I’ll probably be busty ‘cause I just am. However, I’m hoping that I don’t have to worry about being quite this big.

Thanks for all your help guys. Hope this post helps someone else looking for answers!

Ok. Update: Lost hecka more weight. I am still an F cup but it’s now a smaller F cup therefore it’s more manageable. However, I’ve worked hard core on my strength and general fitness, and I believe that this helps keep pain and problems away. If I had to give a solution for my issue, knowing me now I would encourage exercise that strengthens shoulders, the whole back, upper body, and the core muscles. :-) Cheers.
