i have had this bad habit for many years and its soo hard to stop. the longest ive got was 5 months but then i started up again. please help! i want to have pretty fingers again
1) Put clear nail polis on the skin around your nails, so when you go to bite that doesn't taste very good. The taste will remind you not to do it.
2) On Zack And Cody, he used a rubberband around his arms and when he' catch himself thinking about Baily he'd snap it. I actually looked that up, and the paint reacts in your brain sort of as a punishment.
3) If you are a girl ( Haven't looked at your profile) go get fake nails. It will feel alot diffent on your lips so you won't think about it.
4) Don't put your hands in or around your face.
Well, a large percentage of the things we do are out of habit. One way to break a habit is to form a new habit of not doing the old one. It usually takes about 30 days for the brain to learn the new way of doing things. You have to stick with it as best you can. Everytime time you catch yourself doing something you don't want to do, just stop it and stop now. then soon you will have stopped. My smoking smoking was a terrible 30 year habit. I am so happy to be free from it now and feel great.
omg i do that too! it's a bad habbit i haven't broken yet but my guess would be to catch urself doing it then cross your arms and think to urself don't do it and btw rosealyn that is nasty
yeah, you can buy stuff to put on your fingertips to make them taste nasty, after you taste it, it will discourage you to do it again :)
Put band-aids around your fingers, dip the tips of your fingers in nail polish remover so they taste bad...that's all I can think of
The same way I quit smoking 4 years ago. Just stop it. Don't do it. Stop now and don't ever do it again.
Put hot sauce on your fingers..unless you like hot sauce I wouldn't prefer you doin that.
pick ur ears with each finger cuz i kno it sounds gross but it tastes bad. :P
